Dr. Ramesh Babu V.M

Dr Ramesh Babu V M , Born on 20th June 1974 is an Indian Politician and a Businessman who completed his Diploma (E&CE), BE (E&CE), LLB, M-Tech, MBA, MA(Dev.,), JF, Ph.D. and IA&AS. He worked for Government in various capacities at different departments. Currently, He holds his Whole Time Directorship at Baratheque Turf Pvt Ltd. and B&B Prime Property Developers LLP. He is known for his social works through VMRG Foundation (R) which is a NGO serving in and around Karnataka State.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Dr Ramesh Babu V M, Born on 20th June 1974 in Hindu family at Uppukunte Village, Sugatur Hobli, Kolar Taluk , Kolar District . He was the fifth child born to Shri V Munivenkatappa, who was a employee of Karnataka Electricity Board and Smt Venkatamma who was a house wife . As a child, he was very ambitious in serving nation. After his father passed away when he was just 12 years old, his family struggled a lot to lead their lives. He completed his Higher Secondary Education in 1990 in Sugaturu. He then pursued his Diploma in Electronics and Communication from Government Polytechnic ,Chintamani, Karnataka. Due to his keen interest to pursue his higher studies in Electronics Field, He completed his Bachelor of Engineering. Later, He completed his LLB, M-Tech, MBA, MA(Dev), PhD. He obtained his Jnana Fellowship from Karnataka Knowledge Commission. He successfully cleared Civil Services Examination for Indian Audits and Accounts Service (IA&AS).

PERSONAL LIFE

On 26 August 2001, Dr Ramesh Babu V M married to Geetha T. They have a son, Barath V R is a Businessman, based in Bengaluru and a daughter Brinda V R.

ROLE AS A GOVERNMENT SERVANT

Dr Ramesh Babu V M started his career as a Trainee Engineer for ISRO Satellite Centre, Department of Space, Government of India at Bengaluru. Later he worked for Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. He worked for GTRE, a DRDO laboratory at Bengaluru. During this period, he parallelly cleared Civil Services Examinations(CSE) and got into Indian Audit and Accounts Service. He served for different departments of Government in various capacities.

ROLE AS A POLITICIAN

Dr Ramesh Babu V M had a great vision to contribute for Nation development by developing his hometown. He contested in 2019 General Elections to the Parilament from Kolar (SC) Constituency. He contested in 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections on behalf of Janata Dal (Secular) Party from K.G.F (SC) Assembly Constituency.
